A&S NYC Immersion Experience

The “From Arts & Sciences to Stocks & Finances” Immersion Experience is an opportunity for students with non-business majors to explore the corporate sector in NYC. This trip is open to all undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences.  Students will gain knowledge about marketing their skills and talents in the business world, identify internships or job opportunities that may be a good fit for them, and learn more about specific industries. Confirmed visits include: JP Morgan, EY (Ernst & Young), Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.

The trip will take place on Thursday, September 28, and Friday, September 29.  You will be required to miss class on Wednesday evening, Thursday, and Friday.  Students will leave campus on Wednesday, September 27, in the late afternoon by Greyhound bus to travel to NYC.  Students are responsible for their transportation from campus to the bus station.  Employer visits will be all day Thursday, September 28, and all day Friday, September 29.  Students will be given a bus voucher to return to campus via Greyhound and the ticket is valid September 29.  Participating students are required to attend all sessions throughout the two days.  Hotel accommodations for Wednesday and Thursday night will be provided and there will be two students to each room. Meals during this program will also be provided. *PLEASE NOTE: students not returning to campus on Friday, September 29, are responsible for their own overnight accommodations and meals*

Students who are selected to participate will need to attend a mandatory information session the week of September 18th to complete the necessary paperwork.  We are requiring a $50 REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your spot and this deposit will be collected at this meeting. Final agendas and additional details will be provided at this meeting.

To apply, please upload your current resume and the attached application.
